James Anderson, CURE Director, to speak at October Meeting

The MOAA-Darby Rangers Chapter will welcome James Anderson, President of Compassionate Utilization of REsources (CURE), as its guest speaker on October 8.
CURE is a tax-exempt, non-profit corporation formed in 1996 for charitable purposes in response to needs created by the April 1996 tornado in Fort Smith, Arkansas. During and after this catastrophe, the organization realized the urgent need for continued regional crisis and disaster relief support, and the need for medical missions and other related activities providing for those in need.
CURE was formed to tangibly exhibit the Spirit and love of Jesus Christ, as portrayed in the New Testament, to neighbors in need.
Prior to serving with CURE and assuming leadership of the organization, Anderson worked in the cable television industry for 27 years. He began his employment as an Installer, later advancing to Technician, General Manager, and Area Manager of cable television systems in Arkansas, Oklahoma and South Louisiana. He retired from Cox Communications in 2005 as Director of Public and Government Affairs for the Northwest Arkansas Region.
He then spent six years with the Arkansas Foundation for Medical Care, and an additional seven years with the Fort Smith Regional Dialysis Center before retiring again in 2018.
Anderson also proudly served in the United States Navy from 1971 to 1975.
He has been happily married to his wife, Patti for 49 years. The couple have been members of the West-Ark Church of Christ for more than three decades. They have one daughter, Adriane, and a son-in-law, Todd Martin, as well as a granddaughter, Averi.
